Based near Chelmsford, we feed food which would otherwise go to landfill to the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia Illucens). The larvae are used for protein and their frass (poop!) is used as a soil improver.
We help businesses to reduce their waste costs by collecting food before it is sent unnecessarily to landfill or incinerated. Food sources we collect include fruit, vegetables, spent brewery grains, unsold bakery goods, and coffee grounds.
Quite simply, we believe we need to work towards a more sustainable world and one of the best ways to do that is by reducing waste.
This amazing little insect is just helping us to do our bit!
